Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 30, 2026
Cazuel is a recipe manager. This policy explains what personal data we process, why, and the rights you have under the GDPR and applicable law.
Data we process
Account data: email, username, display name, language preference and, when you sign in with an identity provider, its issuer and your subject identifier.
Content: recipes, drafts, notes, imports (including the URLs and any text you paste), favorites, cooking progress and timers.
Technical data: security logs (IP address, request identifiers) kept for abuse prevention and debugging.
Why we process it
To provide the service you request (contract), to keep the platform secure and prevent abuse (legitimate interest), and to comply with legal obligations such as copyright takedown requests.
AI processing
When a page you import has no structured recipe data, its visible text may be sent to an AI provider to structure it. We send only the page content and URL — never your password or account details. Usage is logged without the content.
Cookies
We only use strictly necessary cookies: your session, a security token and your language preference. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies, so no consent banner is required.
Retention
Your data is kept while your account exists. Deleted recipes are hidden immediately and purged from backups within 30 days. Security logs are kept for up to 90 days.
Your rights
You can access and download all your data (Settings → Download my data), correct it in the app, and permanently delete your account (Settings → Delete account). You may also object, restrict processing or complain to your data protection authority.
